Byzantine Painting at Trebizond. 1936 with the caption: "Church Near Ayana Monastir" and the place is also called "Kurt Boghan" by them. Identified in Bryer, A. and Winfield, D. The Byzantine Monuments and Topography of the Pontos.1985, p 286 as the church of the Taxiarchai at Sachnoy [modern Köprüyani], destroyed between 1929 and 1957. |
