| Scope and Content | A photograph showing an excavation site, with a pit containing bones n the centre. The photograph is pasted to a thick card base, which in turn is pasted onto the base of this exhibit. The original description in the catalogue reads: "A Larnax burial. These burials in clay chests were the characteristic manner of disposal of the dead in the Late Minoan III period; many were found in the plain of Palaikastro." |
