| Scope and Content |
An ink illustration of a lion with one paw over a calf and the calf's rear in its mouth. It is the same objects as 1936/01/05/16/08 from a different angle. The original description in the catalogue reads: "Ivory lion holding a calf; before 600 B.C. Several such figures were found: compare the man stabbing the lioness (160b) and the couchant animals (160f); but these figures are much larger and of rather later date." |
