To the lower right of the image is a later annotation in pencil giving a bibliographic reference. Below the image is a paler section, with a later annotation in pencil in the centre which reads "305e lent to CUP for WA Heurtley". The original description in the catalogue reads: "Trough-spouted jug (d), from Marmariani: compare the decoration of 301c, 302. e. Painted pot, from Serovinge (Servia), in Western Macedonia, in a quite different style." |
