This was John Pendlebury’s transport across the desert, run by the Nairn Transport Company. It was more like a small bus that a car.
Has been overprinted with another image on the left hand side “night scene in Damascus”.
“Allenby’s” stele is a commemorative plaque to the Desert Mounted Corps (British, Australian, New Zealand and Indian Calvary), a French Regiment and Arab Forces of King Hussein (Oct 1918).
