| Scope and Content | BRF 01/01/07/098. Watercolouring painting on board showing the Ascension. "4" is written in gold in the lower left corner and "1908" in the lower right. In the lower right corner above the writing is a sideways Byzantine Research Fund copyright stamp with the original archive number written in. There are remains of a former brown card base visible in the corners and uper centre. The original description in the catalogue reads: "The Church of St. Sophia. - 530-33. Mosaics: 531, Central detail of dome." |
