| Scope and Content | The original description in the SPHS register reads: "Constantinople: Aqueduct of Valens". A pencilled notation appears in the SPHS register: "It is rarely accessible, the whole quarter has been ruined by fire lately (note by F.W.H.)" |
| Notes | Possible date based on a group of images from this "batch" (2901-3000; vol. 1, page 156 -160) donated by Hasluck; some from this collection of Constantinople are listed in the 1910 lantern slide accession list. Also BSA Annual Report for 1909/1910 indicates that Hasluck visited Constantinople to photographing Byzantine monuments including the Aqueduct of Valens which had been made accessible by recent fires. |
