Peneios Valley Project 1967-1969
Research programme:
The Peneios Valley Project oversaw surveys and excavations which helped to identify many sites in the area. The chronology of the sites across the valley varied from Early Helladic to Roman; with a Hellenistic building and early Helladic pottery being discovered. J. Ellis Jones completed the text and illustrations for the site descriptions and the excavations of the School's rescue excavations (1969) at Kostoureika, Keramidia and Keramidia Hill in the Peneios Valley for publications.
Active from Oct 1967 to 1969.
