Hasluck Asia Minor Travels
Research programme:
During the couse of three years, Hasluck visited a number of sites in Turkey, first in 1908 to N.E. Asia Minor, visiting Cotyaeum, Magnesia ad Sipylum, Philadelphia, Aezani and Trebizond. The following year he travelled with A.M. Woodward from Rhodes across to Asia Minor to vist the sites of Telmessos, Attaleia, Perge, Sillyon, and Aspendos. In 1910 Hasluck ended his year's sabbatical in Cyprus, touring Larnaca, Nicosia, Kyrenia and Famagusta, before crossing over to Mersina at the Cilician Gates to bisect Central Anatolia, visitng Nidge, Caesarea Mazaca, Sivas, Tokat and Amasia, Soghanli and Göeme. He ended at Samsun on the Black Sea and sailed to Constantinople where he photograph monuments of the city.
