Thasos Survey 1907
A survey of the surface remains of the island of Thasos was conducted by John ff. Baker-Penorye, Secretary of the British School at Athens, in 1907. He systematically documented remains of all periods throughout the island, beginning with a detailed study of the ancient city of Thasos, Limenas, and areas around Kinara on the east coast and Aliki on the south. His report was published in the Journal of Hellenic Studies which included numerous photographs, plans, elevations, and sketches.
