Emporio Excavation 1952-1955
Excavations were on behalf of the Chios Society of Great Britain in order to excavate the site of Emporio, where there is evidence of habitation from the early Bronze age up to the later Roman/Byzantine period. The site of Delphinion was planned for excavation, however no information exists of whether this took place.
Active from 1952 to 1955.
